Integrations that seamlessly connect Kibi Scada with your existing world

Kibi Scada transfers monitoring data to inventory management, ERP, and maintenance software—so devices and systems share the same data flow.

Kibi Scada isn’t an isolated island for temperature data—it’s part of your operational system landscape. Devices, ERP, CMMS, building management systems, and reporting integrate seamlessly via clean interfaces, instead of existing side by side in parallel.

  • Vendor-independent device connectivity in one platform
  • Integration with ERP, maintenance, and other systems (via API and webhooks)
  • Ready-made integration templates instead of isolated solutions

Arbeitsweise

From Legacy to a Continuous System Chain

Three steps to turn individual systems into a consistent flow of data and processes—without creating new silos.

01

Capture the world as it is

Devices, sensors, master data, and target systems are viewed together. Only this perspective reveals which data already exists, which is still missing, and where media disruptions occur today.

02

Map data points and events

Measurements, alarms, operating states, and tickets are mapped to a shared model. This ensures that information arrives not just technically, but semantically correct in the target system.

03

Automate and share seamlessly

Once the logic is in place, Kibi Scada automatically delivers events, master data, and reports to ERP, CMMS, GLT, or BI systems. This makes the platform an integral part of your existing operational architecture.

Im Detail

What a robust integration platform needs to deliver in a kitchen environment

Different manufacturers, existing systems, and processes requiring documentation demand more than just data exports. What truly matters is that the technical connection and operational impact work seamlessly together.

01

Manufacturers & Devices

Diverse device landscape, one operational platform

Kibi Scada is designed to integrate devices from different manufacturers, generations, and protocols into a unified operational model. This reduces custom solutions and overlapping responsibilities.

  • Vendor-independent integration via open protocols
  • Use existing devices and new sensors simultaneously
  • Unified data model for diverse sources
  • Technical transparency across all device groups

02

API-First

Integrations are part of the platform architecture

The platform is designed so that the same objects users see in the dashboard are also available via APIs and webhooks. This makes integrations predictable and maintainable.

  • REST API with clear domain objects and events
  • Webhooks for alarm, status, and service events
  • Token-based authentication with permissions concept
  • CSV, Excel, and JSON output for third-party systems

03

Target Systems

ERP, CMMS, and building management systems become part of the same process chain

The real power of integrations doesn’t lie in the connection itself, but in the process impact behind it: creating tickets, syncing master data, scheduling maintenance, automatically providing reports.

  • ERP synchronization for master data and quality documentation
  • CMMS integration for maintenance and incident management
  • Building management system (BMS) integration for refrigeration, climate, and building data
  • BI export for cross-location analytics

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Integrations

Which kitchen appliance manufacturers is Kibi Scada compatible with?

Kibi Scada is manufacturer-independent and can consolidate devices from various manufacturers on a single platform. Among others, we have already implemented integrations with RATIONAL, MKN, Meiko, Winterhalter, HUPFER, CoolCompact, and Menümobil. Thanks to open interfaces (Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT), devices from other manufacturers can also be connected.

Can Kibi Scada be integrated into our ERP system?

Yes, Kibi Scada can be integrated into common ERP systems via REST API and webhooks. Typical use cases include the automatic transfer of maintenance events to your maintenance module, the synchronization of device master data, or the export of temperature reports to your quality management documentation.

Is there an integration with building management systems (BMS)?

Yes, Kibi Scada can be connected to existing building management systems via Modbus TCP or OPC-UA. This allows temperature data from refrigeration systems, ventilation units, and air conditioning to be captured directly in Kibi Scada through monitoring—alongside direct sensor connections.

How does the API-first architecture work?

All features of Kibi Scada are accessible via a REST API. This means: Everything you can do in the dashboard, you can also do programmatically through the API—retrieve measurements, configure alarms, generate reports, and manage devices. The API is documented with OpenAPI and enables seamless integration into your IT landscape.

Does Kibi Scada support CMMS systems for maintenance?

Yes, via webhooks and the REST API, Kibi Scada can transmit maintenance events, alarms, and service requests to CMMS systems (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). For example, if a device fails, a maintenance order is automatically created in your CMMS.

Can I visualize Kibi Scada data in Power BI or Grafana?

Yes, via the REST API and CSV/Excel export, you can import Kibi Scada data into external visualization tools such as Power BI, Grafana, or Tableau. For Grafana, we also provide a direct data source connection to the Kibi Scada MQTT broker.

Are there ready-made integrations available, or does everything need to be developed individually?

Kibi Scada offers pre-built integrations for common kitchen equipment manufacturers (RATIONAL, MKN, Meiko, Winterhalter, HUPFER, CoolCompact, Menümobil) and sensor types. For integration with ERP systems, building management systems, or CMMS, use the REST API and webhooks. We’re happy to support you with custom integrations upon request.

How complex is the integration of Kibi Scada into existing systems?

The effort depends on the integration you require. Connecting kitchen appliances via our ready2go sensors takes just a few minutes. Integration into an ERP system via the REST API is implemented by your IT department in just a few hours, thanks to our OpenAPI documentation. For more complex integrations, we provide professional support through our integration team.
